🧭 DAY-BY-DAY ROUTE

Day 1 — Novokuznetsk: arrival and gentle acclimatization

  • ✈️ Arrival at Novokuznetsk Airport (Spichenkovo). These are the closest air gates to Sheregesh: in winter there are many skiers here, and the resort logistics are well established. After the flight — a short transfer to the city center and check-in. In the evening, do a “city loop” (pedestrian boulevards, warm cafés) and get some sleep: tomorrow — heading up into the mountains.

Day 2 — Transfer to Sheregesh and first знакомства with the mountain

  • 🚌 In the morning — transfer Novokuznetsk → Sheregesh. In winter, direct buses run on a “single ticket” system, as well as transfers from local operators; the trip usually takes 3–4 hours depending on the weather. On arrival — check in on Mount Zelyonaya, check rental/storage, adjust boots.

  • 🚶 In the evening — a short walk along the snowy streets (Turisticheskaya, Snezhnaya): café lights, steam from cups, music from après-ski bars. The main thing — don’t overload yourself; breathe the dry frosty air and go to bed early.

Day 3 — Sector A: warm-up slopes and technique

  • 🎿 Morning — skiing on the groomed slopes of Sector A: wide “training” sections are ideal for dialing in stance, edge engagement, and speed control. Day logic: 2–3 sets of 60–90 minutes with breaks in slope-side cafés.

  • 💡 Lifehack: at the start of the season, take a short lesson with a local instructor — Sheregesh is valued for its clear terrain and fast technique progression.

Day 4 — Sky Way gondola and Zelyonaya panoramas

  • 🚠 Ride the Sky Way gondola: glass cabins quickly take you to great viewpoints and long blue runs, and in stable weather — to beautiful taiga views. After lunch — a careful mix of blues/reds, focusing on smooth turns and upper-body work.

  • 🧊 In the evening — spa/sauna at the hotel: Siberian frost is kind to those who recover properly. You can add an indoor ice rink — a good option for “active rest without нагрузка on the quadriceps.”

Day 5 — Sector B and “mood-based” lines

  • ⛷️ Sector B offers variety: from soft gentle sections to more dynamic lines. Strategy — a “difficulty ladder”: warm-up blues → comfortable reds → finish on your favorite sections. It’s important not to burn out: lunch with hot soup, warming tea in a thermos — and then keep skiing steadily.

Day 6 — Mix day: snowmobiles, huskies, and short slope sessions

  • ❄️ Morning — a short ski session of 2–3 hours, then a snowmobile ride or a visit to a husky park (in season they operate at the resort and nearby). This is a “reset”: lots of эмоции, but less impact load on your legs.

Day 7 — Sector E: lift speed and panoramic lines

  • 🏔️ Trip to Sector E (≈10 km from the village): here you’ll find high-speed lifts and a different feel to the terrain. With good visibility — long panoramas; when the weather changes — stick to marked runs and don’t head into unfamiliar forest terrain without a guide.

Day 8 — Tashtagol: the Mountain Shoria museum and local cuisine

  • 🚃 An easy trip to Tashtagol: visit the Museum of Ethnography and Nature of Mountain Shoria — great context about the Shor people, taiga traditions, and the region’s nature. After that — a warm lunch with Siberian dishes and return to Sheregesh.

Day 9 — Long turns: “panorama day” on Zelyonaya

  • 🎿 Put together a “ring of long runs”: gondola up, chains of comfortable blues and gentle reds, work on rhythm and turn stability. The goal is not records, but the “taste of skiing.” In the evening — hot banyas/spa.

Day 10 — Freeride introduction with a guide

  • 🧭 If you want to go off-piste — only with a local guide and with avalanche gear. Sheregesh is known for reliable snow and accessible freeride, but discipline and knowledge of the terrain are mandatory. Half a day is enough to safely try soft powder and return to groomed slopes.

Day 11 — Eco day: visitor center of the “Kuznetsk Alatau” nature reserve

  • 🏛️ Transfer to Mezhdurechensk (Kuznetsky Alatau Nature Reserve visitor center): interactive exhibits about the ridge, rivers, and taiga, routes for winter excursions. The format is ideal if there’s strong wind on the mountain or you need a “meaningful breather.”

Day 12 — Shorsky National Park: winter trails and photo stops

  • 🌲 Entry into the Shorsky National Park zone with permits/tickets оформed (issued by partners and at park пункты). A short walk along the marked route or an organized outing (weather permitting) — for the pure winter beauty of Mountain Shoria.

Day 13 — Weather buffer: easy skiing, ice rink, souvenirs

  • 🎿 In the morning — another 2–3 hours on your favorite runs. After that — an indoor ice rink, après-ski, and buying warm wool accessories/souvenirs. Pack your things so you don’t lose time in the morning.

Day 14 — Return via Novokuznetsk

  • 🚌 In the morning — transfer Sheregesh → Novokuznetsk (usually 3–4 hours in winter; allow extra time for snow clearing and possible delays).

  • ✈️ Flight from Novokuznetsk Airport. If your flight is in the evening — a warm pause in the city and an early arrival at the airport by taxi/transfer.
