🧭 DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1 — Vieux-Port and the first loop along the waterfront

  • 🚶 Start in the heart of Saint‑Tropez — along the Quai Suffren and Quai Jean‑Jaurès. This is the city’s grand stage: the lacquered hulls of yachts, the red‑and‑green lighthouse on the Môle Jean Réveille, and the warm house facades reflect in the water. Stroll slowly along the moorings — allow 1–1.5 hours to “soak in” port life, with short photo stops and morning coffee by the water. Then make a loop via Place des Lices with its plane trees (market on Tuesdays and Saturdays) and return to the water at sunset: the rays fall softly on the masts and the limestone bell tower — the postcard colors of Saint‑Tropez.

Day 2 — La Ponche: the fishermen’s quarter and swimming in small coves

  • 🚶 La Ponche is the old “seafaring” Saint‑Tropez. Narrow lanes, sun‑faded shutters, stone steps, tiny La Ponche and La Glaye beaches — a place where the sea comes right up to the houses. Walk from the port toward the ramparts, peeking into courtyards; plan swimming for the middle of the day (1–2 hours including relaxing on the rocks). The neighborhood atmosphere is warm and intimate: laundry on lines, kitchen aromas from windows, cats on sills. In the evening — an unhurried aperitif in the old quarter and a waterfront stroll under the glow of stern lanterns.

Day 3 — Museum classics: Musée de l’Annonciade and galleries by the water

  • 🎨 The Annonciade is small but a precious jewel box of modernism: Signac, Matisse, Marquet — the waterfront in the colors of pointillism and fauvism. Set aside 1.5–2 hours, choosing a “slow looking” pace. Afterward — galleries by the port and shop windows with posters and lithographs: Saint‑Tropez loves paper and color. During the day — a light lunch at the water’s edge; in the evening — a short loop to the Môle Jean‑Réveille for a panorama of the entire harbor.

Day 4 — The Citadel and the Maritime History Museum: views from above and sea wind

  • 🏰 Walk up to the Citadel (10–15 minutes on foot from the port): 17th‑century bastions, the scent of pines, and a full круговой view of the bay. Inside is the Maritime History Museum: routes of Tropezian captains, coastal trade, whalers, commerce — the city’s “skeleton” that explains the sparkle of the waterfront. For the exhibits and viewpoint terraces — 2–3 hours, then head down for gelato at the port and a free evening.

Day 5 — Pampelonne Beach and the road to the waves

  • 🏖 Pampelonne in Ramatuelle is a long white arc 10–20 minutes by car from the center (taxi/bus ZOU! in season). Pick a stretch to match your mood — from club beaches to calm “wild” sections. Morning: swimming and a book to the sound of the surf; afternoon sun: a walk along the path by the dunes. For the round trip, allow 40–60 minutes including waiting for transport and parking.

Day 6 — Capes and trails: Cap Camarat and azure coves

  • 🌿 Head to the Cap Camarat lighthouse: the trails (sentier du littoral) open up views of Pampelonne, the Lérins Islands in the haze, and ochre‑colored rocky ledges. Sneakers are a must; the loop takes 1.5–2.5 hours; water and a sun hat are must‑haves. Return by evening: dinner in the old town and a short “lap of honor” along the waterfront.

Day 7 — Bay wines: Gassin and rosé estates

  • 🍇 In the morning — the hilltop village of Gassin (20–30 minutes by car/taxi): cobbled lanes and views over the whole bay. Then — one nearby estate (your choice): elegant classic rosé at Château Minuty or intimate organic wines at Château Barbeyrolles; alternatively, the larger, welcoming Bertaud‑Belieu. Tasting and a short walk among the pines — 2–3 hours; by evening — back to the sea.

Day 8 — Port Grimaud: “Provençal Venice”

  • 🛶 Port Grimaud is a postwar dream of canals and waterside loggias. It’s easy to reach by sea from the Port of Saint‑Tropez (25–30 minutes by shuttle): pastel houses reflect in the canals, small bridges, boats at the doors — perfect for a relaxed daytime photo walk. Return at sunset by sea — in the Port of Saint‑Tropez, lights and music gather the evening.

Day 9 — Sainte‑Maxime and a “shore switch”

  • ⛴ Change perspective: take the sea shuttle to Sainte‑Maxime (≈20 minutes) and look at Saint‑Tropez “from the outside.” The promenade, the beach, the market, and a lazy terrace lunch. Return on any of the frequent crossings: on the water, the ride is already part of the отдых.

Day 10 — Cinema and butterflies: two small museums

  • 🎬 Morning — the Museum of the Gendarmerie and Cinema: the building’s “brigade” story and the phenomenon of Louis de Funès films — a playful, nostalgic layer of the town. Then — Dany Lartigue’s “Butterfly House”: an intimate house museum with thousands of wings and a garden; allow 45–60 minutes for each exhibition. Evening — on Place des Lices with pétanque and plane‑tree shade.

Day 11 — Water day: a cruise along the bay and Canoubié Cove

  • 🚤 Choose a sea program: a short обзорный route around Canoubié Bay (45–50 minutes) or an evening departure from Saint‑Raphaël returning at night. The water ties the whole puzzle together: hillside villas, sails, the lighthouse beam, and the ribbon of the waterfront. It’s a “soft” day — more looking, less rushing.

Day 12 — Ramatuelle and a beach retreat

  • 🌾 Ramatuelle is stone quiet above the sea, dark roof tiles and a midday doze. Arrive for restaurant opening hours, take an unhurried loop through the alleys (45 minutes), then head down to your chosen stretch of Pampelonne. Round trip + beach block — 4–6 hours total.

Day 13 — Free day: markets, postcards, favorite views

  • 🗺 Return to “your” places: the morning market at Place des Lices (Tuesday/Saturday), coffee by the water, your favorite angle by the breakwater, one last visit to a gallery or bookstore. The perfect tempo is half a day with no clock and no plans.

Day 14 — Finale on the waterfront: sunset and a farewell loop

  • 🌅 Save the finale for the water and by the water: a sunset loop from the port to La Ponche and back, one last look at the yacht lights and the green lighthouse, dinner with a view — and a promise to return. Saint‑Tropez says goodbye well, gently: not with a “final checkbox,” but with a feeling of lightness and the sea in your memory.
