🧭 DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY (14 days)

Day 1 — Arrival in Split → ferry to Supetar → Bol: gentle seaside acclimatization

  • Day logistics: from Split Airport (SPU) it’s most convenient to get to the city harbor by the official shuttle or city bus No. 37. The shuttle takes about 30–40 minutes to the main bus station by the port; bus No. 37 takes 40–50 minutes. Next: Jadrolinija ferry Split → Supetar ≈ 50 minutes; from Supetar to Bol — Arriva bus ≈ 55–70 minutes or taxi ≈ 50 minutes. You’ll arrive in Bol by evening: check-in, a light stroll along the promenade, ice cream, and an early night.

Day 2 — Zlatni Rat: a big “beach day” with a kid-friendly focus

  • Zlatni Rat is one of the Adriatic’s most famous pebble spits: clear water, pine shade, and a gentle entry into the sea on the northern side. With kids, it’s convenient to get there by the tourist mini-train (runs from central Bol about every 30 minutes) or by a walk along the shady promenade. For active fun — an inflatable water park with trampolines and slides (operates on the spit in season). Plan: morning — swimming and games, midday — a break in the shade/café, afternoon sea — calm lawns under the pines.

Day 3 — Dominican Monastery + Martinica and Kotlina beaches

  • On the eastern side of Bol, on the Glavica peninsula, stands the 15th-century Dominican Monastery with a small museum and archaeological finds. Kids enjoy the “treasure hunt” format: amphorae, ship items, old books. After that — two nearby family coves: Martinica and Kotlina (pebbly, with a gentle entry, usually quieter than Zlatni Rat). Perfect for an unhurried day with toddlers.

Day 4 — Light windsurfing for kids + SUP/bike rentals

  • Bol is a well-known windsurfing spot: the wind is gentler in the morning, which suits beginners. At the Big Blue Sport center on the waterfront they offer short trial lessons and kids’ equipment; alternatively — SUPs and kayaks in calm stretches of shoreline. Day formula: 60–90 minutes of activities → snack in the shade → free play on the beach.

Day 5 — Vidova Gora: a picnic at the highest point of the Adriatic

  • You can reach the Vidova Gora viewpoint (780 m) by taxi/rental car (a winding road) or via a hiking route from Bol (for fit families with older kids). At the top — a panorama of the Zlatni Rat spit and Hvar Island; tables for snacks. Bring windbreakers and water: it’s cooler and windy at the summit.

Day 6 — Murvica and the “Dragon’s Cave” (Zmajeva špilja) with a guide

  • A short ride to the village of Murvica west of Bol, then a 1–1.5 hour hike up to the Dragon’s Cave only with a licensed guide (the trail is rocky, closed-toe shoes are needed, age limit by arrangement with the guide). For the very little ones — stick to Murvica Beach only, while older teens will enjoy the story of the hermit caves, the dragon carving, and the views of Hvar.

Day 7 — Blaca Hermitage (Pustinja Blaca): museum-hermitage + a boat trip

  • Two options: 1) by car to the Dragoboda parking area and on foot ≈ 30–45 minutes along a goat trail; 2) by boat from Bol to Blaca Bay and on foot ≈ 30 minutes. The monastery museum preserves the hermits’ way of life, an old observatory, and rarities. Important: there are no cafés or water on site — bring supplies. Kids usually get engaged in a “time travel” experience if you show photos in advance and tell the legends.

Day 8 — Škrip: Olive Oil Museum + Brač Island Museum

  • Škrip is the island’s oldest settlement. At the Čukrov family “Olive Oil Museum,” they demonstrate an old press and offer a tasting; nearby is the “Brač Island Museum” with archaeology, ethnography, and Roman quarries. After the museums — a playground/café in the village and the return trip to Bol.

Day 9 — Sutivan: a family nature park

  • “Park Prirode Sutivan” is a green area with domestic animals (ponies, donkeys, goats), a sandbox, swings, and sports площадки. A good “land day” without the sea if you need a break from the sun. On the way you can stop in Supetar for ice cream and a stroll along the promenade.

Day 10 — Lovrečina Beach (Postira): a rare sandy bay

  • For toddlers — a treat: a sandy bottom and a long shallow entry, pine shade, a café by the beach. If possible, arrive early (the bay parking lot can fill up). Return to Bol not too late in the evening.

Day 11 — “Zlatni Rat Day 2.0”: SUPs, kayaks, a shady siesta

  • We return to the favorite spit: morning SUP/kayak at the edge of the pines, then quiet time in the shade and a pebble/shell construction set for little ones. In the second half of the day — a stroll along the promenade, a playground, an early dinner.

Day 12 — Tennis for children and adults in Bol

  • Bol is known for its tennis center with clay courts and kids’ programs. Plan a 60-minute family master class with a coach in the morning (while it’s not hot), then the hotel pool or shade by the sea. In the evening — sunset at Vidova Gora (if it fits your schedule) or a family photo session by the pines of Zlatni Rat.

Day 13 — “Buffer” day: mini-train to Zlatni Rat, boat to the coves, souvenirs

  • Leave a day without a rigid plan: mini-train to the spit, a small taxi boat along the coast (in season), buying souvenirs made of Brač stone, ice cream, and a final swimming sunset. Tip: pack your suitcases in the evening without rushing.

Day 14 — Departure: Bol → Supetar → Split (or catamaran Bol → Split)

  • Check the schedules in advance. Leave with extra time for the ferry/catamaran. From Split port — a 5–10 minute walk to the bus station for the airport shuttle. If your flight is in the morning, it’s better to choose an early ferry connection or a direct catamaran Bol → Split (in season) to avoid stress.
