Day 1 — Nice / Saint-Laurent-du-Var: flyboarding in Baie des Anges
- ⚡ The main activity of the day is an introductory flyboard session with a licensed water-sports operator in Saint-Laurent-du-Var, right at the entrance to the Baie des Anges bay, less than a few kilometers from Nice. This is one of the most famous spots on the French Riviera for organized sea activities: calm tourist infrastructure, easy access from the city, and a short-session format with an instructor. Real operators in this area usually offer 20–30 minute initiation sessions, while the whole active part of the day with arrival, check-in, fitting a life vest, helmet, wetsuit, briefing, and waiting for a suitable weather window takes about 2–3 hours. Level: for beginners, instructor only. Safety for tourists is ensured because the activity is run through an official water-sports base with certified instructors, protective equipment, and a controlled water area; the operator may reschedule or cancel the slot in strong wind, waves, or if the zone is overcrowded. Before booking, it is important to check whether the briefing is available in English or French, whether there are restrictions on weight, age, pregnancy, back or knee injuries, whether insurance is included or separate sports insurance is needed, what the cancellation policy is in case of wind and storm conditions, and how to get to the starting point on time. Seasonally, the best period is usually May–September, when water-sports bases operate daily; in peak summer it is better to book your slot in advance, and on windy days time shifts are possible. After the session, it makes sense to keep the second half of the day light: a walk along the Nice waterfront, recovery time, an early dinner, and no second heavy activity.
