🧭 DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1 — Arrival in Tel Aviv (TLV) → Ein Bokek: acclimatization, first “weightlessness”

  • 🏁 Transfer from Ben Gurion Airport to the Ein Bokek resort (usually 2–2.5 hours by car via Highway 1 → 90). Check-in, a light lunch, rest in the shade. In the evening — a first calm walk along the promenade: warm salty air, the shimmer of evaporation ponds on the horizon, and a level waterfront to the soft sound of water.

  • 💧 First taste of buoyancy: 10–15 minutes in the sea at Ein Bokek public beach — no diving and no splashing. Afterwards — a fresh-water shower, skin cream, hot tea. Early night.

  • 🧘 Rule for the first 24 hours: minimal alcohol and heavy food, maximum water and quiet — this helps your body “make friends” with the climate and minerals.

Day 2 — Minerals and promenades: Ein Bokek → spa day

  • 🌊 Morning: 2 short buoyancy sessions of 10–15 minutes with a break in the shade. The water here is denser than the body — muscles rest and joints “unhitch” excess tension.

  • 🧴 Pelotherapy and relaxation: choose a hotel spa zone (Dead Sea water pool/sulfur baths/mud applications). After the procedures — horizontal rest for 30–40 minutes.

  • 🌅 Evening: a slow promenade loop along the waterfront and the salt spits near the center of the beach. Photo stops at golden hour, a light dinner, a warm mineral bath in the room (if available).

Day 3 — Ein Gedi oasis: David’s waterfalls and a green canyon

  • 🌿 Early morning departure to the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve (≈25–35 minutes by bus/taxi along Highway 90). The “Wadi David” route — cascades of fresh water, tamarisk shade, and ibexes on the slopes. We walk at a “talking pace,” with breaks at the waterfalls.

  • 🫧 The day’s contrast: after fresh water — a short Dead Sea session by the hotel (10–12 minutes) and rest on a lounger. In the evening — a warm mud mask for joints/back + herbal tea.

  • ✅ Load balance: 1 nature walk in the morning + 1 short mineralized session in the evening. No overload.

Day 4 — Masada at sunrise: cable car, fortress, and views over the abyss

  • 🚡 Pre-dawn departure to the eastern entrance of Masada (≈20–25 minutes from Ein Bokek). Take the cable car up for opening time, meeting the first rays over the Jordanian mountains. At the top — “Herod’s palaces,” a synagogue from the Second Temple period, and a panorama of the Dead Sea’s salt chevrons.

  • 🏛️ Museum at the eastern entrance: a brief exhibit of artifacts and a multimedia introduction. Descend by cable car, breakfast/coffee at the visitor center.

  • 💆 Afternoon recovery: during the day — shade and water only. In the evening — a light promenade walk, stretching, and “box breathing” (4–4–4–4).

Day 5 — Qumran and the scrolls: desert archaeology + salt art forms

  • 📜 Morning: departure to Qumran National Park (≈50–70 minutes by car/bus north along Highway 90). Visitor center and museum about the Qumran community and the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, then a short trail to viewpoints over the caves.

  • 🧂 During the day — “Dead Sea art”: a walk along the Ein Bokek promenade and to the crystalline salt blades at the water’s edge (careful: don’t step on sharp edges; wear closed-toe shoes).

  • 🧘 Evening: salt/mud mask for feet and shins, warm shower, early night.

Day 6 — Free rhythm: spa combo, micro-doses of activity, and shopping at Dead Sea Mall

  • 🌊 Spa loop “in short dips”: 10–12 minutes in the sea → shower → 20 minutes shade → 10 minutes in a warm Dead Sea pool/sulfur bath. Repeat 1–2 times depending on how you feel.

  • 🛍️ Daytime — Dead Sea Mall (central part of the promenade): cool galleries, mineral-based cosmetics, café breaks. Return to the hotel before sunset.

  • ✅ Principle: “micro-dose of load + long pause” to boost recovery rather than fatigue.

Day 7 — Finale by the water: favorite beach, unhurried packing

  • 🏖️ Morning: walk your favorite stretch of the promenade, say goodbye to the views. 1 short buoyancy session — and a fresh-water shower.

  • 🧳 Packing and transfer. If departure is in the evening, add 30–40 minutes in the shade with a book and a glass of cool water. No immersions in the sea for 4–6 hours before the road.
