🧭 DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1 — Arrival in Yelizovo (PKC) → Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (acclimatization)

  • 🏁 The flight is long — today is just check-in and a light walk. From Yelizovo Airport (≈ 29–30 km to central Petropavlovsk; 35–50 minutes depending on weather), get to the hotel, have something warm and simple for lunch, and rest.

  • 🌊 In the evening — a short promenade around Kultuchnoye Lake and to the foot of Nikolskaya Hill: air with a hint of sea salt, views of the bay and the “home” volcanoes set the right mood without strain.

  • 🧘 The day’s rhythm is “polar wintering”: quiet, warmth, early sleep. Tomorrow we’ll start exploring the city and do the first “health soak.”

Day 2 — City and museums: local history → “Volcanarium” + a warm evening

  • 🏛️ In the morning — the Kamchatka Regional United Museum (20 Leninskaya St.): nature, Indigenous peoples’ ethnography, the history of Petropavlovsk harbor — the perfect “intro course” to the region.

  • 🌋 After lunch — the “Volcanarium” volcano museum (34 Klyuchevskaya St.): lava rocks, models, and interactive exhibits about active volcanoes. The exhibition is small but very “Kamchatka.”

  • 🛁 In the evening — the first thermal soak (if you’re low on energy, stay warm in the city; if you feel lively, you can go to Paratunka for 1–2 hours): 15–20 minutes in the water, then rest and hydrate.

Day 3 — Paratunka: a day of thermal balance

  • ♨️ Transfer to Paratunka (from Petropavlovsk ≈ 70 km; usually 1–1.5 hours on the road). There are dozens of resorts here with outdoor pools fed by natural thermal water: soak in “conversation mode” for 15–20 minutes with 10–15-minute breaks to rest.

  • 🌿 Between soaks — a quiet walk along the Paratunka River, tea, a nap. Important: don’t do a marathon of procedures — the effect builds precisely with a gentle regimen.

Day 4 — Khalaktyrsky Beach (black sands) + an evening in hot water

  • 🏖️ Khalaktyrsky Beach — visitor center, boardwalks, black volcanic sand and the roar of the Pacific Ocean. From central Petropavlovsk it’s ≈ 30–45 minutes by car; we walk 40–60 minutes along the boardwalks and the shoreline, breathe evenly, photos — unhurried.

  • 🛁 We return to the Kamchatka “SPA ritual”: an evening soak in Paratunka. After the water — wrap up, a warm dinner, early sleep.

Day 5 — Nikolskaya Hill and panoramas of Avacha Bay

  • ⛰️ Nikolskaya Hill is the city’s symbolic “balcony” with an easy trail and viewpoints over the bay and hills. Unhurried loop time: 60–90 minutes with breaks.

  • 🍲 By day — market delicacies (fish, caviar) and cafes with a bay view; by evening — a warm bath/sauna at the hotel: we alternate activity and recovery.

Day 6 — A free “thermal day”: choose a pool + a short walk

  • ♨️ Repeat soaking in Paratunka (morning/day): 2–3 entries of 15–20 minutes. Between them — tea, rest, reading. Depending on how you feel — a compact walk to a viewpoint or along the resort’s waterfront.

  • 🫖 In the evening — “slow down”: warm water + a light dinner, packing tasty souvenirs (dried fish, seaweed, teas).

Day 7 — Art museum → final walk and departure

  • 🎨 Kamchatka Regional Art Museum (62 Leninskaya St.) — an intimate visual highlight about the people and nature of the region.

  • 🏁 A final promenade in the center and packing without fuss. Allow 50–70 minutes to Yelizovo Airport, with a buffer for weather and lines at the counters.
