🧭 DAY-BY-DAY ROUTE

Day 1 — Arrival, check-in, and your first walk around Berehove

  • 🏁 Upon arrival — check-in and a “gentle adjustment”: a short circular walk from Rákóczi historic square to the streets with Austro-Hungarian architecture. Feel the calm rhythm of Zakarpattia: the main “treatment” here is not to rush.

  • 🍽️ Dinner without a heavy menu, early sleep. Tomorrow we’ll start the thermal bathing course and set a personal pace for the day: “1 water session + 1 walk + 1 quiet pause.”

Day 2 — Zhayvoronok thermal complex: getting acquainted with the water

  • 💧 Morning — first visit to “Zhayvoronok” (112 Shevchenko St.). Thermal water is supplied directly from a well more than 1 km deep; some pools are under a roof, which is convenient in any weather. Start with 10–15 minutes immersed in a warm pool, then a cool shower and rest on a lounger.

  • 🍵 During the day — a light lunch on the terrace and a short siesta. In the evening — an unhurried walk along the promenade and through the historic quarters. On the first “water” day, avoid marathons: the effect of thermal water unfolds best in the “little, but regularly” mode.

Day 3 — “Zhayvoronok”: expanding the program + salt room/sauna

  • 🧖‍♀️ Water + steam: 2–3 short visits to the thermal basins (10–15 minutes each, with breaks), then a Roman or wood-fired sauna and the salt room. Between cycles — warm tea and rest.

  • 🚶 After lunch — a light promenade-trek around the city (40–60 minutes) at a “conversation pace.” In the evening — an early dinner and warmth.

Day 4 — Wine day: Chateau Chizay Wine Museum + an unhurried tasting

  • 🍇 In the morning — a 10–15 minute drive to the Chizay tract, 1. The “Chiz — the first wine museum of Zakarpattia” wine museum: multimedia halls about grape varieties, traditions, and the history of viticulture. The exhibition combines “old presses” and modern interactive displays.

  • 🥂 Optional — a tasting (micro-portions; do not combine with active bathing). Lunch — at the “Chizay. Mala Hora” restaurant, then return to the hotel and a calm evening.

Day 5 — “Count’s Courtyard”: the “Berehivshchyna” museum + a photo walk

  • 🏛️ The “Berehivshchyna” historical and ethnographic museum in the residence of Gábor Bethlen (1 Gábor Bethlen St.): underground vaults with a Gothic portal, artifacts from the Roman period, materials about Rákóczi, and an ethnographic collection.

  • 📷 After the museum — “slow tourism”: coffee on the square, angles of Art Nouveau facades, and a small rest window. In the evening — a short session in the warm pool at “Zhayvoronok” (if you feel excellent).

Day 6 — An unhurried outing: “Kosino” thermal waters (half-day trip)

  • 🚗 Morning — a trip to the village of Koson (≈18–20 km from Berehove): famous thermal basins in the park, outdoor areas with hydro-massage, and saunas. Plan: 2 short swims + breaks in the shade. Return during the day.

  • ✅ Day logic: “new sensations — yes, overload — no.” In the evening — free time, rest your legs, warmth and water without excess.

Day 7 — Finale: your favorite pool, souvenirs, and packing

  • 🌿 In the morning — repeat any comfortable format: “Zhayvoronok” (a short cycle) or a walk around the old center. Souvenirs: local wines and products by Zakarpattia artisans.

  • 🧳 Departure without rushing. Sum up the routine: sleep, nutrition, water, walking — and take this rhythm with you.
