🧭 DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1 — Arrival + Lichtentaler Allee (acclimatization)

  • 🏁 Check-in and a gentle walk: head to Lichtentaler Allee— a historic park arboretum along the Oos. Level paths, sculptures, little bridges, and views of old villas quickly set you into the “spa rhythm.”

  • 🧘 The first 24 hours—take it easy: minimal heavy food, more still water, 40–60 minutes of calm walking. Early to bed—tomorrow we start the water treatments.

Day 2 — Caracalla Therme: thermal pools + park

  • 💧 Morning at Caracalla Therme: warm indoor pools, outdoor pools with hydromassage, saunas, and relaxation areas. Spend 2–3 hours unhurriedly, taking breaks on loungers (the goal is to relax muscles and “reset” sleep).

  • 🌿 Afterward—an easy walk in the lower part of Lichtentaler Allee (30–45 minutes): conversational breathing, no climbs. In the evening—herbal tea and early rest.

Day 3 — Friedrichsbad: Roman–Irish ritual + Roman bath ruins

  • 🏛️ A historic day: the 17-step Friedrichsbad ritual with alternating dry heat, steam rooms, and progressively cooler pool temperatures under the dome. It’s not a workout, but a sequential “tune-up” for the сосудs and nervous system.

  • 🧱 Nearby—the Roman Baths (Badruinen): a short visit to the archaeological remains of ancient bathhouses provides a rare “link” to today’s springs. After the procedure—only a calm walk and rest.

Day 4 — Museum Mile: Museum Frieder Burda → Staatliche Kunsthalle → Museum LA8

  • 🖼️ Culture at an “unhurried pace”: first, the snow-white Museum Frieder Burda (avant-garde and 20th–21st century classics in glass and park light), then the exhibition Kunsthalle opposite (current projects and international curatorial programs).

  • 🏛️ Finish at Museum LA8—an intimate museum of 19th-century art and technology in a villa on the avenue. Between museums—rest on benches by the Oos; in total, 2–3 exhibitions in a day without rushing.

Day 5 — Merkurberg: MerkurBergbahn funicular + views without overload

  • 🚠 Take the funicular up Mount Merkur: in minutes—to a panorama of the Rhine plain and the Upper Rhine. At the top—an observation deck by the tower, a short trail across the upper plateau (20–40 minutes), tea on the terrace—and back down.

  • ✅ Day logic: 1 ascent → 1 short walk → rest down below. After lunch—free time at the resort or a light visit to the Trinkhalle.

Day 6 — Kurhaus, Trinkhalle and Theater: “classic” Baden-Baden

  • 🎩 Kurhaus and Casino: colonnades, Belle Époque interiors, and atmospheric halls—the symbol of the resort’s high-society history. Nearby—the Trinkhalle with its 90-meter arcade and frescoes: the perfect “dry” cultural stroll.

  • 🎭 In the evening—the Baden-Baden Theater (check the playbill): intimate productions in a historic building on Goetheplatz. Afterward—early sleep: tomorrow, the final waters and parks.

Day 7 — Fabergé Museum + Gönneranlage rose garden + final spa touch

  • 💎 Morning—Fabergé Museum (Sophienstraße): miniature masterpieces of the jewelry house and decorative arts objects. Then—the Gönneranlage rose garden by the Oos (in season—luxurious fragrance and photo spots).

  • 💧 Tour finish: 1–1.5 hours at Caracalla or a short visit to the drinking fountains (depending on how you feel). Pack up and depart without rushing. Keep your sleep-and-walking rhythm for another 3–5 days—this will help the effect stick.
